A long-serving 70/30 dual-sport tyre, the Scorpion MT 90 A/T is Pirelli's traditional answer to the on/off-road adventure question. Large central tread blocks deliver straight-line stability on tarmac, while a V-arrangement of side blocks provides traction and braking grip on gravel and dirt. The balanced silica compound is tuned for high mileage with strong wet and dry grip. OE on the KTM 950 and 990 Adventure in tubeless sizes (150/70 R18 and 90/90 R21), with most other sizes available as tube type for classic adventure bikes. Pirelli sums it up well: "adapting to daily urban use and to adventure anywhere you please on the weekends." Less aggressive than a TKC 80 or Mitas Enduro Trail, but more capable off-road than the road-leaning Anakee Adventure 2 or the scrambler-focused MT 60 RS. Wide size range covers most adventure and dual-sport bikes.

Ideal For
Terrain & Conditions
Tarmac (main use), gravel, hardpack, fire roads, light forest trails, some highway use. Capable on dry green lanes. Not built for deep mud, sand, or technical off-road.

Adventure and dual-sport riders whose riding is mostly road-based with regular gravel and unsurfaced sections. Long-distance tourers who want strong mileage and confident wet grip. Owners of classic adventure bikes (especially older KTM, BMW, and Japanese twins) where the MT 90 A/T has been the trusted choice for years. Not the right tyre for serious green laning or BDR-style trips.

Performance
MudDecent
Central blocks and V pattern do not self-clean well. Light mud is fine, anything wetter packs the tread.
GravelQuite good
The V-shaped block arrangement does its job on gravel and hardpack. Less bite than a true 50/50 like the TKC 80 or Mitas Enduro Trail.
GrassQuite good
Balanced silica compound helps on wet hardpack and damp rock. Less confident on wet roots or off-camber off-road than a knobblier tyre.

Silica compound gives strong wet road performance. Confident in normal rain conditions.
