Terra Force-EF

A purpose-built FIM-compliant Enduro tyre, the Terra Force-EF is Mitas's modern enduro flagship. Specially designed knob pattern respects FIM racing standards (max 13 mm knob height), with multiple compound and carcass options to suit different speeds, terrains, and racing styles. Developed and proven by top hard enduro racers. Available in two product lines:

  • Standard (DOT-legal): Six compound and carcass options identified by sidewall stripe colour. Road-legal for dual-sport use, though as with all soft enduro tyres, road life is short and the joy is off-road. Front and rear fitments.
  • Pro (competition only, closed-course): Ultra-soft carcass and Super Soft Pro compound for extreme enduro racing. Not road legal. Mousse-only or UHD TT recommended, standard tubes not advised. Rear only.

Terrain & Conditions
Single track, hard enduro courses, rocky climbs, wet roots, slippery clay, off-camber forest, technical trails. Compound choice changes the bias: yellow stripe for dry hardpack and faster sections, green stripes for technical wet and slippery, double green for extreme grip on rocks. Pro variant is purely for extreme enduro courses.
Rider Types
Enduro and hard enduro racers. Dual-sport riders who do mostly off-road work. UK trail and green lane riders tackling technical terrain (the Praktika compound suits this well). Competition riders preparing for events like Erzbergrodeo, Romaniacs, or local extreme enduro. Pro variant is reserved for serious competition riders running a mousse setup.
Motorcycle Types
Hard enduro and enduro machines (KTM 250 / 300 / 350 / 450 EXC, Husqvarna TE / FE range, GasGas EC / EX range, Beta RR / Xtrainer, Sherco SE / SEF). Big-bore singles set up for trail (KTM 690 Enduro R, Husqvarna 701 Enduro). Light dual-sport (Honda CRF300L, Yamaha WR250F / WR450F). Junior fitments also available.
Performance
MudReally good
FIM-spec short knobs are not deep paddles, but the well-spaced pattern self-cleans well. Soft and Super Soft compounds bite into muddy roots and slick clay.
GravelReally good
Strong across compounds. Yellow stripe is best on hard dry gravel; green stripes excel on damp loose ground.
GrassSuper amazing
A core strength. Gummy compounds (green and double green stripes) grip wet rocks, roots, and clay better than almost anything else on the market. Pro variant is the benchmark.
Wet Tarmac GripDecent
Soft compound helps, but the open knob pattern reduces contact patch in the wet. Treat with care on cold roads.
Road DurabilityNot great
The single biggest weakness. Real-world riders report extremely fast wear on tarmac, often under 1,000 miles on a rear with mixed use. Soft enduro compounds are eaten by asphalt. Yellow stripe (Super) lasts the longest.
Off-Road DurabilityLong-lasting
Yellow stripe gives 4/5 wear off-road in dry hard conditions. Soft compounds (Super Light, Super Soft) wear faster but deliver class-leading grip while they last. Pro variant trades durability entirely for grip.

In rough terrain — rocky enduro, low-pressure riding, Iceland-style adventure — fitting a heavy-duty tube inside a tubeless tyre is a legitimate and smart setup. Rim size below is matched to your selected tyre (21" rim).
