Mitas Enduro Trail-ADV 2 is a next-generation 70/30 dual sport tyre designed for modern adventure bikes and riders who demand real off-road capability without giving up road confidence. As an evolution of the original Mitas Enduro Trail models, the ADV 2 introduces a more aggressive tread pattern with improved off-road bite, better mud clearing, and a refined carcass structure for big-bike load handling. It bridges the gap between long-distance touring tyres and full knobbly options making it an excellent choice for UK riders exploring varied terrain.
Ideal For
Terrain & Conditions
Dry and mixed green lanes, hardpack trails, forestry roads, compact gravel, and occasional light mud.
Rider Types
Adventure riders who want a tyre that can confidently explore UK lanes without giving up comfort, road grip, or mileage. Ideal for those who lean slightly more toward off-road than traditional 50/50 riders.
Motorcycle Types
KTM 890 Adventure, Yamaha Ténéré 700, Africa Twin, Triumph Tiger 900, BMW GS models, especially when used for mixed ADV and weekend lane riding.
Performance
Capable in light to moderate mud, especially with some momentum. The tread clears better than most 70/30 tyres but still struggles in deep clay or slow-speed ruts. Enough to get you through UK green lanes unless it’s been pouring.
Strong on loose and hardpack gravel. Directional stability is solid, even when loaded, and it offers good braking confidence on descents. Predictable and planted in fast, dry conditions.
Performs fairly well on wet grass and mossy surfaces. Holds a line better than more road-biased tyres, though it still lacks the edge knobs to truly bite in on steep cambers or greasy patches.
Very stable on the road, with minimal wobble or squirm. Comfortable enough for long days in the saddle, with good cornering feel. Slight hum at higher speeds, but overall one of the smoother semi-knobblies available.
Better than expected for its blocky profile. The compound offers good traction under braking and lean, just don’t treat it like a sport touring tyre. Confidence-inspiring for wet UK roads and occasional rainstorms.
Durability
Reasonably durable in typical trail conditions. The rear starts to lose sharpness after 2,500–3,000 miles of active off-road use, especially if you ride rocky or abrasive terrain, but it wears evenly and resists chunking well.
Holds up well to long road miles. Rear tyres can comfortably deliver 5,000–6,000 miles without falling apart or losing shape, even on heavier ADV bikes. Even wear unless abused under throttle.
