The Mitas E-05 is a classic trials-style trail tyre, built around the vintage trials pattern that defined scrambler and dual-sport riding decades ago. M+S rated for genuine on/off-road use, with a modern carcass and compound under that traditional tread design. The small, well-spaced trials blocks give grip and stability on tarmac and light off-road without the noise or vibration of an aggressive knobbly. Sits between a pure road tyre and a 50/50 in capability, but with the looks of neither. The go-to choice for modern retro, scrambler, custom builds, and classic restorations where period appearance matters as much as performance.

Trials block spacing clogs almost immediately in wet mud. Wrong tyre for the job.
GravelQuite good
Capable on hardpack and dry gravel roads. Lacks the bite of a true 50/50 for loose or rocky going.
GrassDecent
Modern compound helps a bit, but the small trials blocks and hard road-friendly rubber limit grip on wet roots, mud, and wet grass.
