Michelin Anakee Wild is a true 50/50 dual-sport tyre built for big adventure bikes that see serious off-road action. With a distinctive knobby tread pattern and a surprisingly capable on-road feel, it’s a favourite for riders tackling long overland routes, TET sections, or rough backcountry tracks on fully loaded machines.

Ideal For

Terrain & Conditions

Gravel tracks, rocky trails, dry riverbeds, forest roads, and moderate mud. Can handle TET routes and multi-day off-road expeditions.

Rider Types

Adventure and overland riders who need a tyre that genuinely handles both road and rugged off-road. Great for those riding to the trails rather than trailering.

Motorcycle Types

Suited for bikes like the BMW R1250GS, KTM 890/1290 Adventure, Yamaha Ténéré 700, Honda Africa Twin, and Triumph Tiger 900 Rally.

Performance

Mud

Performs very well in muddy and soft terrain thanks to wide, deep tread blocks that clear quickly. Still, not a dedicated mud tyre like an enduro knobbie.

Gravel

Excellent performance on gravel roads, even at speed. Stable, predictable, and able to absorb uneven surfaces without deflection.

Slippery Surfaces

Secure in slippery conditions such as wet roots or clay tracks. Rear tyre digs in well, but front can float under braking on very slick surfaces.

Road

Better than expected on tarmac for a knobbly, but still noisy and less planted than a more road-oriented tyre. Can squirm in corners at higher lean angles.

Wet Tarmac Grip

Respectable wet grip for its class, though caution is needed when cornering in heavy rain. Compound and tread are not optimised for slippery tarmac.

Durability

Off-Road

Impressive longevity off-road. Stands up to rocks, sand, and rough tracks with slow wear and no chunking, even under heavy bikes.

Road

Tread life is reasonable on pavement for a true knobby, especially with moderated throttle use. Performs better than most motocross-pattern tyres on-road.
