Michelin Anakee Adventure is a premium 70/30 adventure tyre designed for riders who spend most of their time on-road but want the freedom to explore gravel and light trails. Combining excellent wet weather grip with high-speed stability and predictable handling, it’s a solid choice for big adventure bikes that need versatile all-weather performance.

Ideal For

Terrain & Conditions

Primarily paved roads, including wet conditions, with occasional gravel tracks or smooth fire roads. Not designed for technical or muddy terrain.

Rider Types

Touring and adventure riders who prioritise road performance but still want the confidence to take the occasional detour down a gravel lane.

Motorcycle Types

Ideal for large adventure bikes like the BMW R1250GS, Triumph Tiger 1200, Honda Africa Twin, Suzuki V-Strom 1050, and Yamaha Ténéré 1200.

Performance

Mud

Not suitable for real mud — shallow tread and tighter block spacing lead to quick clogging. Grip is minimal in wet soil conditions.

Gravel

Performs well on graded gravel and compacted fire roads. Predictable but not confidence-inspiring in deeper or looser stone.

Slippery Surfaces

Handles hard-packed and slightly damp tracks well, but lacks the compound and tread spacing needed for slick roots or clay.

Road

Superb road manners, with responsive handling and stability even at high speeds. One of the best in its class for road-biased adventure riding.

Wet Tarmac Grip

Michelin’s silica-based compounds give excellent wet road grip. Tracks confidently in the rain with minimal squirm or slide.

Durability

Off-Road

Sufficient for light trails and occasional off-tarmac exploration, but knobs wear fast under off-road torque and terrain abrasion.

Road

Excellent longevity on-road. Tread compound resists wear well under loaded touring conditions. Consistent performance even after long mileage.
