Dunlop Geomax MX14 is a pure motocross rear tyre engineered specifically for soft terrain — deep sand, loamy mud, and soft clay. Its tall, paddle-style tread blocks offer aggressive scoop for maximum acceleration and grip in loose surfaces. It replaces the MX12 and is used by top MXGP riders. Not legal or safe for road use, it’s a purpose-built race tyre.

Ideal For

Terrain & Conditions

Sand tracks, deep mud, soft loam, and motocross tracks with soft soil. Avoid hardpack, rocks, or pavement.

Rider Types

Motocross racers, sand track competitors, or off-road riders training in deep mud or dunes.

Motorcycle Types

KTM SX-F, Honda CRF450R, Yamaha YZ250F, Kawasaki KX450 — any full-size MX bike in soft terrain setups

Performance

Mud

Exceptional in deep mud. Its scoop-like tread paddles through soft terrain better than most motocross tyres.

Gravel

Poor on gravel. The scoop tread doesn’t offer stable handling or bite on rocky or hard-packed terrain.

Slippery Surfaces

Strong performance on wet, soft terrain like mud or slick clay, but not intended for wet grass or hard slippery surfaces.

Road

Not road legal. Not designed for asphalt and performs very poorly on pavement due to soft compound and scoop tread.

Wet Tarmac Grip

No wet grip on road surfaces. Unsafe for tarmac use.

Durability

Off-Road

Durable in its intended use (sand/mud) with improved wear over the MX12 thanks to reinforced tread and updated compound.

Road

Soft compound wears rapidly and can degrade dangerously fast on road or hard surfaces.
