Continental TKC80 is a legendary 50/50 adventure tyre with genuine off-road capability. Its aggressive tread blocks offer strong grip in gravel, loose dirt, and even moderate mud, while still retaining enough composure for road travel. Though it wears quickly on tarmac and gets noisy at speed, it remains a go-to for ADV riders venturing into real trails. A favourite for overland expeditions and bikes like the BMW R 1250 GS and KTM 1290 Super Adventure.
Ideal For

Motorcycle Types
BMW R 1250 GS, KTM 1290 Super Adventure R, Yamaha Ténéré 700, Honda Africa Twin, Triumph Tiger 800/900 Rally
Performance
Good traction in mud and wet forest trails. Large knobs offer bite, though they pack up faster than some modern competition.
Excellent grip and control on gravel, with stable braking and confidence-inspiring cornering on loose or rocky surfaces.
Capable on wet grass and slippery terrain, but traction loss can be abrupt due to the tall tread blocks and less siping.
Acceptable road performance for an aggressive tyre. Noticeable vibration and hum, with limited lean angle grip.
Wet performance is serviceable but requires caution. Large block spacing limits surface contact in rain.
Durability
Stands up well to trail punishment, rocks, and rough terrain. Holds up better off-road than it does on tarmac.
Not built for long road mileage. Knobs round off quickly on tarmac, especially on heavier bikes.
